Dont forget the fact that every 3-5 years, the Prius battery has to be replaced (a nice $3k) So much for all that gas money you saved.

I have read the hybrid batteries last 5 years +, and many times longer.
The dust to dust deal is interesting. They basically are building these things without the technology to dispose of the battery waste existing yet????

Wow, you guys are really uninformed.
The hybrids NiMH batteries are engineered to last the life of the car, and Toyota and Honda have had battery failures that can be counted using just the fingers in both of your hands (assuming you didn''''t lost a finger to an unfortunate table saw accident). Keep in mind they have sold millions of hybrids...
Millions of hybrids and less than 10 battery failures. Since most people don''t even keep their cars over 5 years I would say the battery issue is a non issue.
