If those are 35's, I wonder if you can put 37's or 38's without a lift? That would be great!!!

Wow, looks great and it appears to be a logical step-up from the Wrangler.  Looks like maybe IFS up front and coil-over solid rear axle.

I want it.  I think the finish product is going to be real close to this.  I say the winch won't be on the standard H4 but from the GM VP told the group of us that met in NYC it looks just like he said it would.  The fender flares can be taken off and switched out with different colorred ones, the back can have the slantback, square top like a Wrangler or be removed.  The doors can come off, 6 point seatbelt, he did say the roof would be more like the old T-tops not what you see in the concept truck.

4-wheel independent according to the article.  There's one pic with a straight view at the rear end and you can see the CV boots.

Hummer is reaching out to younger drivers with its smaller, sporty Hummer HX concept.

The two-door vehicle from General Motors Corp. is optimized for off-roading. It was developed by three young designers who are new to the Hummer studio and were charged with designing a smaller, entry-level Hummer.

The HX has classic Hummer looks but new features, including a pair of removable roof panels over the driver and front passenger and a modular, removable rear roof.

With all the panels removed, the vehicle becomes a convertible.

Depending on how the back panel is configured, the HX also functions as a utility vehicle, a slantback or a wagon with covered cargo space.

The doors and rear fenders also can be removed quickly for off-road driving. The HX has 35-inch tires and a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that can run on E85 ethanol.

"Make no mistake, this biofuel compact truck is packed from top to tires with all of Hummer's legendary capabilities," Mark LaNeve, GM North America vice president for vehicle sales, service and marketing, said Sunday.

He said the automaker listened to loyal as well as prospective buyers who said they wanted a smaller, lighter, more environmentally responsible vehicle.

"By 2010, every single Hummer will be offered with the biofuel powertrain," LaNeve said.

Anybody want to venture guesses on prices?  Obviously there's going to be many options, but $24,900-$31,000?
