Hummer going to build a Diesel H2?

Just curious if Hummer will every build a Diesel H2. I believe that will be a good market for them. I would love a diesel H2 Hummer. Any thoughts on it?

i've read rumors about this here and there. a book on the development of the H2 says that the diesel was considered, but rejected due to the need for more overhang on the front of the truck (which would hurt approach angle).

I would be thrilled to hear about a future diesel H2. Not because i'd necessarily want one, but because that would mean they are working on a next-generation truck.

I would love a factory Diesel H2, the power and better mpg, is always a plus!

Lot's of rumors out there on this topic. My saleman mentioned to me that there may be one in 09.

Not directly from the factory, but it'll do. Check this site out. H1, H2 & H3 Duramax conversion. Hits the pocket pretty hard.

It's just way too expensive for a conversion. At least for my wallet.
