Hello Everyone!!

New member on this forum but not new to forums per se, since I belong to a hand full of them. I googled around tonight trying to find a good Hummer forum to join, after lurking in a handful of sites tonite, I decided after reading the many posts from members here that this forum looks like where I belong.. I hope to gather info from your many posts, and perhaps, in a small way, I might be able to contribute information in some small way regarding our great vehicles. I am a H2 owner, I bought my yellow H2 way back in late 03, thats what I still own . Back then I bought the one with what they called, the Sports Package, which I dearly love and was glad that I paid the extra price, for many reasons. I also purchased a few extra options like the newer light rack (at the time) and of course an Air Horn, a H2 without an Air Horn is just "incomplete" IMHO. Why I have not joined a forum like this over all these years is a question I am still asking myself, especially after participating on 2 Hummer Happenings down here in South Florida and meeting GREAT people. Never the less, I am here now and hope to be a member that contributes and informs fellow members in some small way. Since I have had my H2 3+ years, and since I think I have experienced some minor problems, some that I didn't know existed since my dealer just "fixed" them & told me afterwards goes to show that some problems are just not seen or felt.

Another reason I decided to join a forum like this is really simple, the warranty on my baby is over. I have decided NOT to purchase any type of extended warranties (in fact none were offered) but I know they exist. Since my monster truck is virtually indestructable, my wife & I decided to start to wing it. All the service done to my H2 to date has been done by my great dealer down here under warranty, any future problems will be fixed by us at the dealer on a case by case basis, safety will be TOP priority obviously. If all goes well, I expect this truck to run on forever--with proper maintenance--Which we will continue to do--I am even considering doing some routine work on it myself, like oil changes, filters etc etc--we don't need a jack, so I will probably enjoy rolling around the floor for a bit and get some grease & oil back onto my hands--Many items have been replaced/repaired on my H2, as I see, or read these posts I will post info regarding them, especially items that ARE not covered under warranty--Which by the way can be veeerrryyy expensive. As an example, the 3 wipers on a H2 cost me over $135.00--OUCH, guess what, I will replace them in the future--Spark plugs, naw I won't tell ya now, perhaps laters-- Anyways I am looking forward to posting here and hopefully contribute in a small way. Have a GREAT day!! Regards. PS: Don't have a recent picture on hand, however many exists on my HD, will have to find one where I look the skinniest-- Or make new ones after I detail my yellow baby since it is due and she's real dirty--

Thanks for the warm welcome members, it's appreciated. I was expecting those smileys when I saw them in the group LOL, I tried to upload 5 pictures but it keeps failing on this post. What size do the pictures have to be or what size? It says 500kb, even those that size is failing, they are 1600X1200, is that why you think? I will make them smaller and try again--again thanks for your warm welcome--Gimme a few minutes to resize 5 of these pics, BRB--

I think all colors are great, IMHO, there in no wrong color if you will. Any and all the hummer colors work across the board with all the models. Initially I wanted the a red one, but it did not have the sports package (the one we bought was the only one with the package on the lot.), but the red did have the sun roof, my wife and daughter put the squeeze on me real heavy like, they wanted the yellow one real bad--guess who won--LOL--<<<< Thats my wife making me decide what color--But I don't regret it.

Yea I'm biased to, I think the name Paige is pretty and classy, and is somewhat rare-Usually rare and beautiful women are behind it also.-Its a name that respect comes to naturally IMO--Is your avatar a picture of you? If so, you have stunningly gorgeous blue eyes-sorry for being so forward LOL, I'm sure you heard that before-Thanks on the ride comment its appreciated--

There was only one other Paige my entire time in school and she was only in my high school the last two years. I've only met a couple Paiges, one of which was the FATHER of a guy I dated!! That was really weird ... it's just not a guy name to me.

Yea, that's me and thank you very much!! Your daughter is quite the beauty ... better keep a close eye on her!!

Oh yea, have my hands full already with her. But she's a good girl and was raised the proper way, totally trustworthy and I will bank on her good judgement. On the other hand a guy named Paige?? Doesn't make much sense, it is not a guy name, his dad sounds like wanted to punish him for the rest of his life, or perhaps his mom--weird--Musta felt real weird for you calling a dude Paige--If it woulda been me, as soon as I was old enough I would of changed my name when I realize it is a female name--But thats me--

LOL, I see we have alot of jokers on this forum, now I know I'm in the right place  I want to thank those since my last post on welcoming me on board, it is appreciated. I might very well be Importkiller lost cousin, who knows, considering I should found this forum much sooner-- I am looking forward to sharing the little knowledge I do have on our great vehicles. One of my first questions is why are the H2 owners so outnumbered here? You would think that since it has been out much longer we would outnumber all others. Never the less, to me a hummer owner is a hummer owner, no matter which type you bought and fell in love with. I have considered trading in my H2 for a H3, but my wife would kill me if I did that. Once a H2 owner always a H2 owner IMHO. Can't imagine going to the smaller vehicle, even tho it'll save couple bucks on gas-- Time will tell however if we will ever get rid of my H2, it's to much into our families psyche. It has become a family member if you will. BUT, you never know what the future holds, going for another H2 is never not a possibility. In fact we tried to trade in last year for the few "limited editions" that came out with that beautiful blue color the wife liked. Unfortunately, our hummer dealer would not budge on his price, and we would not budge on what we wanted for ours. Another factor was the fact that those H2's did not have the sport packages, not even avaliable as an option. Bottom line, we ended up being about 5K apart on the deal. So we walked out-(Not the first time nor the last we'll walk out on a dealer or a deal, we are quite good at that) hehe Anyways have a GREAT day folks--Thanks again--
