That doesn't look like a HUMMER, that looks like an M998 Humvee.  Two entirely different animals.

Wow that is very old armor a good 4 or 5 generations at least. Our monsoon season here is about to start its much like Arizonas if anyone has ever been out that way during that time. The mud is slick & sticks to your shoes like tar.

Yeah, it looks like 1st generation Armor.
There is no such thing as a "HUMVEE" technically it is a HMMWV- High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle. It just easier to say Humvee, and also it is the AM General H1 Platform. The difference is the Military version is an Aluminum Body and doesn't have to meet NTSB/DOT Crash standards.
Yep, waiting for the rains up North here, the mud turns into Peanut Butter.

Civilians are Aluminum as well but yea very much the same beasts just a few differences but not much, infact they were built on the same assembly line

I think it's actually called an M1043. The M998 is the "base model" for the rest. Every little variation of the base changes the Nomenclature, for instance if you JUST add a winch to the M1043 it becomes a M1044.

Sorry, I've been in the transportation field of the Army for 18 years. Not trying to be a "smart a$$", just a habit.
