If an H3 could chuck wood....?????   This much!  For those of you who may want to know just how much wood you can pile in your H3.  A half a cord.  I didn't really know I was going to get it all in until it just kept fitting.  I had to remove the 2 kid car seats and stuff them in front, but I did have room for one last piece on the dash.  I did have quite the mess after I got it all out though.....

Handled great.  It really didn't effect much.  It sat a tad lower, but not noticable, didn't bounce around or bottom out.

I hauled three loads of canadian field stone last summer piled in the back.  The heaviest load was appx 900#s, they are great little big truck.

You should save those pics to show to the person that you eventully sell the truck to, it will be impressive. You must be loaded to trash your vehicle like that. It is one thing to go four wheeling but totally another to trash the interionr over a load of firewood, you need a cheap $600 5x8 trailer, seriously.

I wonder how much firewood Humbob can fit into the princess? Hey Humbob try sticking as much wood as you can cram into the princess and then post the pics. I hear she could handle a huge load.

Well, I guess I could have found a trailer somewhere, but this was just more fun.  My thought is, if you have a truck, USE IT!  or in this case, ABUSE IT !     Prissyness is not for truck or Hummer owners in my opinion.  The interior panels aren't all thick plastic for no reason.  If I would have done this with my previous truck (Ford Excursion) it would have scratched or torn the interior, seats and everything else.  I say use it and abuse it.

I agree use it and abuse it that's what it's made for.

Why wouldn't you want to use it to haul stuff? That's what it's made for.  You think they made Hummers just to drive around town and pick up chicks?

That's like my sister-in-law who complains her mother put a few small scratches in cargo area of their Armada of all vehicles, because "we didn't buy it to haul stuff in"

.....but they will tow a car they bought at an auction with it on a trailer and blow the transmission........
