No one else must have wanted it very bad if it went for $1900.00. I'm like Injun, find another deal like that and I'll pay you a finders fee.. Nice catch, that should leave you some dough to get it running. Hopefully it doesn't need much else and you got the deal you needed. I'm happy it worked out for you.

Hey Dave>>>the engine that was offered was a 6.2L :-(
Still from what I hear a great motor...just not ideal for I need.
Their is great news though!!!!! Diesel depot is shipping my new 6.5 monday and Mike S. is slapping it all together for me.
This is going to be be the biggest "budget hummer" ever...I'll have pics and stories when it's all finished.

I have seen the long blocks go for about $3500.00. What type of deal did Mike S give you on the install. It normally runs about 40 hours to get everything hooked back up. Let us know and I am sure some of the OC contingent would volunteer to help out. HS or Tustin?

Just converted to run on SVO (working great so far)

I do need to find a source for a rear marker light.  Maybe I'm just an idiot, but looks like I'll have to go to the dealer.

order the tail lights from RubberDuck, Bluehummer, or Lynch or at least have your dealer match their price. All things from AMG are free shipping (even engines) -- some dealers try to screw you.

Nah, don't do that. I've bought a lot of them off of Ebay. What exactly are you looking for?

sorry. I hate ebay.

Not that I love Ebay but I have bought a lot of NIB OEM parts off of Ebay for a fraction of list. You have to be careful on buying used stuff but the still in the package stuff has been fine. I haven't been screwed on a new part yet. A couple of the used parts were a little iffy.

QUESTION RE: INSTALLATION OF SIDESTEPS ON HI WAGON.
SHOULD I GET MY DEALER TO INSTALL, OR DO IT MYSELF. I AM PRETTY HANDY WITH THE TOOLS.
I JUST HAVE NEVER SEEN UNDER AN H1 TO SEE HOW THEY ARE INSTALLED.
ANY AND ALL COMMENTS APPRECIATED,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,THANKS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
