The writing is on the wall.  Flyers down by 2 games, I know the atmosphere is going to be crazy in Philly.  Will it be enough for them to pull out a couple of wins?

No Franzen tonight either, headaches from the Colorado series has them playing it safe and getting the guy tested today.  If the test results are clear, he will be back for game 4.....I hope!   It gets McCarty back in the line up, so that much is cool, but I'd rather have the hotest stick in the NHL out there. 
 
Pens looked good, the Flyers had some furious flurries, but Petered out in the 3rd.
 
Trey, your observation is the same thing a bunch of Dalls fans are thinking....can they meet the muster with the home crowd behind them?

Dallas had a great effort in the first period, then later they fell victim to Detroit's puck possesion.  You get tired
and can't score chasing the other team all over the ice for the puck.  The 2nd and third did have some fun end to end runs, until Dallas ran out of steam.
Both of the Stars' goals defelected off of Wings defensemen, but even with those breaks, the Stars were out played in the 2nd and 3rd....again.
 
HAT TRICK for Datsyuk!  Nice!  Shorthanded unassisted goal by Zetterberg pretty much changed the tone if it was'nt already by that sweet breakaway
backhander from Hudler.
 
Yep, time to look up them Penguin recipes for the BBQ.   
 
 

Penguins up 3-0 in the series. One game to go, then it will be time to clip some wings.

 
The Pens did look good last night.  The Wings and Pens need just one more each to get to the cup!!!    SWEET!    
 
Wing should get it done unless the Stars make a major big time adjustment, or the Wings go flat.  
Worst case senario they come back to Detroit and finish the job.

Dallas is done. They might win this next game but that will be it.

yeah, I don't look for either team to sweep..................but you never know.

Lets go Red wings

Not surprisingly the Stars won tonight. Too deep a hole to dig out of so fire up the band for the fat lady.

To the credit of the Stars, that was the first game they played all three periods!!  They did a good job.   Datsyuk did have two goals, which were not allowed because of some of the most piss poor officiating I have seen since the regular season, even worse than game two against Colorado where the would call you on a fart.
 
Now I have to figure out how to watch the game Saturday afternoon, and I have a full plate?
 
I'm not belly aching, not a big disappointment they lost, pretty friggin hard to win 10 straight in even the regular season, but poor officiating sucks!!!!

Flyers really played tough. They looked good.
 
I guess we will have to wait till Sunday.

I would like to see the Stars come back and win the series but with no team ever coming back from a 3-0 deficit I guess I am resigned to the fact that they will soon be on vacation.

No sweeps.   I almost got out my Red Broom and stuck it out on the front lawn handle planted too !  
 
I think the Wings are gonna kick some serious butt back here at the Joe today.  GO WINGS!
 
My wife has a conspiracy theory.  Bettmen, told the officials to make sure there were no sweeps to keep the weekend NBC games televised for $$$$. 
He made the call from the grassy knoll.

Would anybody be surprised if that really were the case? I don't think so. All professional sports have whored themselves out for TV money. It is what makes the world go around. Do the Stars have a chance? Nah. They might get this next game but at best go down 4-2.

Well.................Dallas is making a series of it now.

My guess is that they go done in the next game. I would love to see them win but don't see it happening.

How many games for the Pens to take it?

No problem. I am not a huge Stars fan but if I were going to root for a team it would be the Stars. They went farther than anyone thought so... On to the championship series.

Stars fought the mighty fight, but the're toast now.
 
So, do you slow cook penguin, or is it best to make buffalo penguin wings and bake.....or deep fry???     
 
 
It has been a while since I saw a guy score with his face, pretty cool trick by Draper.

I think hot penguin wings is the way to go.
