Yep................Happy. The series was entertaining, even though the Wings came out strong, the Pens made them work the rest of the way. Pittsburgh came within a 10th of a second from tieing that game up last night, they had that great overhead view of the net with clock, and the puck was less than a foot away from the post, and then went thru the crease!
I have two things I would like to add.
The Pittsburgh fans were way too hard on their team, whining and complaining when they were down by two, crying about officiating. Man I even posted on some Pittsburgh blog about give em a break, be proud of all they have done, the home winning streak, the outdoor winter classic, getting to the final cup round, you have a great young goalie..........there is still a bunch of Hockey left. They will be lurking in the cup rounds for years to come.
To make the wings better, they need an upgrade in their Defense, Lilja really.....really blows. You do not want to know how many mistakes I counted against him. He is a good solid regular season guy, but the playoffs are at a different level.
I will throw up a couple pics of the parade to close out this thread later. WAY TO GO WINGS. Great job Pens making them earn it!
