The Kruggerrand is a gold coin, it's pretty popular for collectors or investors trying to diversify their portfolio.

Kruger is a National Park named after Paul Kruger a former President of South Africa. I believe the Rand -- Krugerrand was the first gold coin used in SA and it too named after Paul Kruger.
The park is awesome. Spent one night in Satara with a couple of lions coughing around the camp. Wish I'd had the Hummer on that trip!
