You mean like this one?
That's Mike's unit. I have a different model in my H3. Only problem with them is that they do restrict your visability when driving. They are a bit rough to install also from my understanding.

Damn!!!! That's ONE HUGE PIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go for the Headrest Monitors. Cleaner look IMO, plus you can have 2 different inputs so each monitor is independant!!!

Lol yeah, sorry that pic is so big i tried to make it smaller but it keeps poping back to the huge size. Took me 5 minutes to find the OK button to reply! :P You don't run wires for the audio...the unit has a wireless FM transmitter built into it. I would recommend having it professionaly done though.

actually install is very easy, I have alot of experiance but honestly there is nothing hard about the install at all!!!. Take power from the dome light so that you don't have to run wires through the headliner and use the built in fm modulator and you have a two wire install. You DO NOT have to remove the headliner, you don't even have to cut the headliner in the newer models....they simply screw into your roof cross beam....very very simple install....just make sure to check and measure everything twice before drilling into the cross beam...and put tape around the drill bit so only a 1/4 of bit will go through. Should be less than an hour total.

Don't roof mount the dvd. It almost completely obstructs your view. If you only have 1 child they will want to sit in the middle even further blocking your view. You can buy a dual lcd dvd player that fits on the headrest for $220 at Sam's club.

if you have only one child they should be sitting in the middle anyway, thats the safest place for them, at least thats what all the car seat directions say. You are right that an overhead flip down monitor will obstruct the view, I just never saw it as a problem because I never use my rear view mirror.
