October 1, 2007 was the official public launch in Federation Square, Melbourne AU.  According to HUMMER-TIME today, it was a big hit.  Here is a link to the AU site with vids.......    http://blog.hummer-time.com.au/  ......  and press on theevent.  Check it out.

Brett, our new AU member, what was the local scoup on the launch, got any feelings on how it went?  More importantly, do you have a solid line on getting a 3, I understand they are going to be available down under in 60-90 days or so???  Good luck Mate.

Melbourne is at the other end of the country to me, so cannot comment on what is happening down there.

But where I am it has been a little disappointing. Not much on the TV, but a mate did see the Hummer ad last week and was impressed. As for the local newspapers, the dealer used to have Hummer Coming soon ad's but now they have there hummer they have not put it in the paper.

Hummer has sold 400 plus H3's out of the catalog, so maybe after these orders are filled they might hit the ads big time.

I just can't wait for our local 4x4 mags to get there hands on one as they normally push the test vehicles to there limit and are not afraid about putting the odd scratch in them either.

Doc

I took the wife in for a test drive (2nd person to drive the demo). We really like it and love the look. We are into some serious touring and the lack of aftermarket accessories here in Aus is a concern for me, so I may have to hookup with one of you US guys for some gear.

We are waiting until after X-mas and the Pathfinder will be 12mths old, then I will go down to a dealer who I have brought many cars from and is also a Hummer dealer and get serious with $$$.

If they had the Diesel H3 ready i would think twice about it.
