Hey guys,

I am new to the Hummer Forum, and I just bought an 2008 H3 a week ago.  A day or two into driving it, I realized that the seats started to become uncomfortable.  Specificly, the side supports are really jamming into my thighs, so I find myself having to shift around a lot in the seat.

Am I alone in this?

Thanks!

I have a 2007 H3X  with the deluxe leather seats.  I've driven it 800 miles Tot Savannah and found them extremely comfortable.  I'm a big guy too.

I understand what you're talking about but it doesn't bother me to shift my a$$ a little.

no long trips here yet, but i have no complaints.  i find the seats to be very comfy.  i test drove a couple H3s with and without the leather, and found them both equally comfortable.  then again, i weigh only 170#, so my legs aren't pressed against the seat edges.

Aggie - welcome to the forums! (I was first to welcome you!). No complaints from me either on the seats and I've done a couple of 15 hour drives in them. I'm not big guy though.

Thanks for everyone's input.  I'm 6'3" and about 225, so it just may be that I'm a bit tall and wide for the seats.

Thanks for welcoming me alrock and Doc Olds!

Now I can't wait to take her off-road and see what she can do!

6'0 220 lbs, and i do get some butt numbness after a few hours but not bad. The cloth seats in the loaner I drove awhile back had harder bolsters than my leather seats. i think my numbness has to do with the fact of the pedal placement, and the inability to move my legs around much in the narrow footwells.

I'll be the 3rd to welcome you to the best Hummer forum around.

6'3" and about 225  Yep, that's pretty big for such a small truck IMO. But at least you don't have to worry about being tossed around in your seat!   I'm very comfortable in my seats.  Now lets see some pictures of your truck.

I have the base seats that come in the Tactical, my wife has the leather Katzkin seat. Hers are softer and more "forgiving" however I find that my seats are more comfortable for me. I agree that once I get them adjusted I don't want anyone messing with it, it's a pain to get them right where you want them.

Oh, 5'9" 180 lbs

I'm 6' 210#s and the seats are fine for me. Wife is 5'7" 115#s and thinks they are great. 6'3" 225#s is pretty good size but unless the weight is all on your backside seems like it should be ok. I know it's personal preference.

After an hour of driving it starts to get real uncomfortable and i've had to make many adjustments to the seat. Try the lumbar support and put the seat back a little further on the long drive.

Thanks everyone for the input!  I finally got a pic of my ride up.  It's still 100% stock, but that will change in time!

Stock rigs are fine. Most people don't notice the undercarriage protection, rear diff protection, etc stuff that I have on anyway.

Well, I've tried every possible combination with the seat positioning, and it's still bad.  Do any of you know of any aftermarket seats that would work in an H3?  Yeah...the seats are that uncomfortable.
