Off-Road Event: June 1rst - Smith's Point Park staging area, NY/NJ - Page 2

I checked and searched and can not find any place on long island that we can go off roading legally.
I am not sure if you wanna take this event anywhere else?

h2guy found out some info.  I hope he posts  it .  We can get a  day pass at 35.00   or a yearly pass for 75.00.

hey guys im back!!  my pc took a cr*p and i lost all my stuff, anyways im going to be there on june 1st i spoke with sgt and i have 3x the amount of what required for the beach so i can lend out tow straps, flashlights etc to who ever gets stuck on 1st inspection of the vehicles, i only have 1 comprsssor but im going to go buy a spare so if some one gets hung up ill give mine out for the day, you guys should all try to come its alot of fun

Call me an idiot, but this isn't an off-roading event correct? This is just a get-together or a show? Are you guys going to actually plant a tree? That would be considered a charity event I think, which you guys seem to do alot of.

this is an off roading  beach run. Not a get togehter  to show  I finaally will get my truck off road.I was  just trying to do something  also.

If something is arranged more locally such as Alley Pond Park in Queens or any other place within the boroughs, Please let me know.
Although the friends seem very enthusiastic about "Smith Point Park" in L.I; It is too long a drive for me....over two hours! I'm truly sorry I won't be able to make it there. Although I don't off road, I look forward in attending a gathering soon just for show or for a good charitable cause! Enjoy your outing! And post photos if available!

If i remember  Smith point is on long island and is opposite  orient point .?
I know its a drive  but I am going to leave  nyc at 8 30 that sun and I dont expect traffic..

so I just put it in the nav system and  follow yellow brick road

I think  h2 guy ( chris) will have that stuff.
They forgot #1 should alwas  be  cofffee!!!    hahaha

i have doubles of everything needed to go on the beach, all you need really is a small peice of plywood for a jackboard, ill bring out at least 5 of them with me, you dont need rope, just a snapline or chain, i have 1 extra snapline, i have at least 3 tire pressure guages i have 2 or 3 flash lights the factory jack is fine, i have an extra 1 that i carry in my off road gear so if someone needs one i have extra, ill go buy a few cheap aid auto first aid kits for you guys and i have 2 air compressors
