Right above the word FORD BANNER AD:

It's your Fusion. Especially when a study finds Fusion most appealing. MORE

It's the way googles targeted web advertising works.   Depending on the geographic region you visit the Hummerforums site from, google will change the ads to show ads paid for by people targeting that geographic area.  Where Humbob and I live, we get Ford Fusion ads.  Where blackstang lives, his IP address must be assigned to a spanish speaking area (IP addresses are often geographically incorrect) so he gets the weird toyoa ad.  When I logged in from Paris, I get no ads at all.  Different people will get different ads.  Just another way we're all pawns in the big marketing game.

I saw the Toyota add yesterday and thought it was odd to be on a Hummer website.

They are Google Ads.  Here:

http://services.google.com/feedback/abg?url=http://www.hummerforums.com/searchpro.asp%3Fsearchfor%3Dtoday&hl=en&client=ca-pub-0555235377935245&adU=woodfieldhummer.com&adT=The+Hummer+Superstore&adU=www.USSpeed.com&adT=H2+Hummer+Floor+Mats&adU=www.h2parts.com&adT=Adventure+Accessories&done=1&gl=US&oasu=true

All of you should have something tha tsays "Ads by Google" and it appears sometimes the link changes to stream in ads from their site.  It's not HummerForums doing.

Karl, Your the COMPUTER GENIUS, so as far as I could find out, this is called a Google AdSense program!! I'm POSITIVE this is the reason the forum loads so SLOWLY for me as I don't get this advertising at my work computer(Windows 98) and the HF loads WAY FASTER. Do you know how to SHUT OFF Google AdSense??
