I turned my virus software off and sure enough there are banner ads....
the toyota ad in spanish is classy...

It's the way googles targeted web advertising works. Depending on the geographic region you visit the Hummerforums site from, google will change the ads to show ads paid for by people targeting that geographic area. Where Humbob and I live, we get Ford Fusion ads. Where blackstang lives, his IP address must be assigned to a spanish speaking area (IP addresses are often geographically incorrect) so he gets the weird toyoa ad. When I logged in from Paris, I get no ads at all. Different people will get different ads. Just another way we're all pawns in the big marketing game.

Karl, Your the COMPUTER GENIUS, so as far as I could find out, this is called a Google AdSense program!! I'm POSITIVE this is the reason the forum loads so SLOWLY for me as I don't get this advertising at my work computer(Windows 98) and the HF loads WAY FASTER. Do you know how to
SHUT OFF Google AdSense??
