Change my oil for the first time. It is amazing that both the filter and drain plug are on top of cross members. Usually design engineers manage one. It is nice that at least they put a drain pan on top of the one under the oil filter.
I put it a synthetic blend. Not sure I will ever know the difference, but it was only $1 extra per quart.

are they access easily or hard ? you did it yourself ...? will you see the plug and filter after you took the skid plate off ?

It was pretty simple. There are two skid plates to take off. The skid plates are kind of nice in that you take out two bolts and loosen four more to slide them out.
The filter is on the front right side of the engine. I had to look twice to see it. Once I found it, it was easy to get to. One nice thing is that the filter isn't next to the exhaust like on most vehichles so I don't have any burns.
Do have a pan under the filter when you loosen it, becuase the way it is positioned there is alot of oil behind it.

If I may add a little something..
All you need is a 13mm socket wrench for all the bolts and drain plug...Better get a filter ban type wrench too to remove the filter..sometimes the first one is on pretty snug..Max, did you manhandle it off with your meathooks, or did you have to use a ban filter wrench?
PS..Don't forget to pre-fill the New filter before you install it.
