Spoke with the sevice writer at the local Hummer dealer today and he said they have done 4 head replacements so far.  He confirmed that there are 1100 heads on backorder.  He also confirms that it has roughly a month's wait to get the parts.  I know this is old news, but it's also a confirmation of the old news.

Good morning everyone! I spoke with my dealer yesterday and they still don't have the replacement part for my truck. When I took it in last month they said it would be a week and here a month later still no part. My question is should I wait till they replace it to call the number that LawWyfe posted or do you thik I should start calling monday morning?
Thank you!

sjr, sorry about your luck   I would begin calling NOW...to establish and support evidence of your inconveniences..not after it is repaired and you have it back.  Having to wait a month or so to have a mechanically sound vehicle is just not right! I cannot stress enough after all my dealings...key is to be NICE but firm and persistant.  I have been told this is being handled on a case by case basis now.  Good luck!

Just to expand on what Sarah told you.....make sure you document every time you make a call....who you spoke to and what they told you.  You never know when this info could become handy.

Man, am I slow sometimes.  I spent 5 minute trying to figure out a 3 letter word with a "Y" in the middle that would make that sentence work.  Then I got it. D'oh.

Good luck!  Thus far, all I have gotten from GM in 4 months worth of numerous phonecalls back and forth is a bunch of lies, broken promises, an extended warranty letter that I am told has been canceled and a demand that I send them back my original letter (which was not what I had been promised verbally.) I will NOT be sending them back my original letter and am now considering proceeding to "plan B!"
