I don't have much experience with pits... the ones I have been in contact with were mixed and were big goofy puppies... and had no clue as to their own strength.

I've had a red dobie-one of the most intelligent dogs I have ever had. I thought about getting another, or even a rottie but I can't find any company which would write a home owner's policy if I get one, and the two companies I have, would cancel if I got one.
A shame that because of idiots, a breed can be so ostracized. As much as I would love to get a dobie or a rottie, I gotta cover the houses first.

OH F***K!!!!!!!!!! I gots a problem....vets closed til tomorrow morning and my shephard just TORE UP my pit bull/leopard....Is neosporin good to put on dogs? I need to do something to keep this wound from getting infected until I can get the poor guy to the vet in the AM.

Neosporin works well on dogs... it is safe...
