I think the flares and the nerf bars make it look lower. It does have 17" wheels and 37" GSAs.

looks pretty standard to me... its amazing how low these ride for clearing 37" rubber

If it sits low it isn't by much.

I think it is fine, just the pictures, shadows, flares and steps give it a little different look. The rocker panel line hits the wheels in the right place. Just an illusion.

A lot of the "older" ones were N/A - so they sat an inch lower from the factory (no body lift)- and it turns out, the springs tend to sag more on the older ones, as well

I agree with the previous posts - plus, GSA's measure about 36.3" tall in reality so it looks shorter than any truck with aftermarket tires sized 37 or greater.
Combine that with fender flares to fill the already small gaps between fender and tire, and add in sagging front springs, and you are looking at a mildly lower than stock truck.

Almost right, but it is the turbos that have about 3/4" more body lift - that truck pictured is a '96 turbo, so it has that additional lift, and is actually (believe it or not) about 3/4" taller than a 95 NA diesel would be from the factory.

actually, the truck pictured is a 2002 with turbo.

My mistake - what I meant was, the truck pictured is a turbo diesel, not a pre-96 NA diesel -- it has the additional ~3/4" body lift.
