I know the difference in quality between air filters but what is the difference between an expensive (2-3 hundred dollars) air intake and those intake systems you find on ebay for about 60 dollars shipped? I bought a no name brand from ebay for my dodge ram and it worked well. But I never have tried the expensive way to notice the difference. You would think that better air flow would increase HP but why the big difference in price just to have the name.
Who has the ebay 60 dollar air intake system and who has the 300 dollar system? Can you justify the cost when you can get basically the same set up for about third of cost?
Please help the confused to make a decision

I don't think anyone is ignoring you..Just that We are confused as to your question ..Can you post pictures or links to these two types of filters, to see what you're talking about?..at least for me.

I'm willing to bet you would have a lot of trouble with the cheap one. Just looking at the pic's, and the box looks like a "fits all" and not made for a Hummer.
How does the MAF sensor connect? Don't look right to me.
Also I think it will hit the fan. It is very tight at the front of the TB, and if they just throw in some elbows, that wont work. It has to be made for the Hummer.
Of course this is just my opinion, and the cheap one could get you 50 HP, but I don't think so.
But, like HummBob said, it does say it will give you more hoursepower, whatever the he!! that is.
