Yes I did you have to go to some site and then create a pass word and then it will give it to you. check at your work thats what i did then i put the info in and it gave me a code.the chevy dealer where my wife got her car they just let me show my company id and they did all the work but at the hummer dealer i had to go to the website and get the code form them.

What is GMID?..Is it Global Market Information Database?

I thought you were talking abouy the gm suppler discount that gives you about 4000 off the sticker price.

From what I heard it stands for, general motors in driveway. Another hummer site was talking about it. Besides I'm so pissed at the dealer I may not get one now, unless I travel a 150 miles.

GMID does stand for GM in the Driveway. It is when someone with the GMS (employee) discount gives one of their vehicle discounts to a friend. It is the supplier price. The person that is supposed to give you the discount needs to punch one of his vehicles in YOUR name with your DOB and last four of you social sec. #. The dealer has to enter that into dealer world and pull off the GM deal code on a print out. You have to sign the print out and you should be good to go.

I just had to call GM and get a code # then give it to the dealer
