My dash security light is coming on (I believe it is called "passloc" or "passlock" from what I can find on the forum). I am not having any trouble starting the truck and it doesn't come on until I have been driving for a while (usually over 20 to 30 minutes). When I turn the truck off and restart, the light goes off. The nearest dealer is about an hour and a half away and I am pretty good at troubleshooting so I am looking for any suggestions on where to start or what to test. Thanks in advance for any input.

Could this be my ignition switch going bad? I've noticed sometimes when I go to start, it takes just a fraction of a second to engage starter.

i had that problem my mecanic told me that i have to take him the original remote to re program the code on the after market alarm since i unplug my batery i dont know if this might solve your problem but if you have an aftermarket alarm system and unplug ur battery that happend the longer you wait to fix it the worst it gets sometimes the truck doesnt want to turn on at all i had to let it sit for at least 45 min to an hour to try to restar it
