CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO DO THIS? I TOOK THE SCREWS OUT AND THE PIECE DID NOT COME OUT? I DID NOT WANT TO FORCE IT NOT KNOWING IF I WAS DOING IT RIGHT.

there are 3 screws holding on the bezel, one in the center, one on each end. remove them and the bezel should come out. you may need to coax it. once it's out, you should have access to the lights from the back. i've never done it, but those are the instructions from the manual. my assumption is that these lights are the ones on the tailgate. my license plate is off to the side since i have a rear tire carrier, and i don't care if it works or not.

my plate is usually covered in dirt, so what good is a light? it's only clean now because i just picked it up from DMV. that will change this saturday though . . . . .

I had the same issue... I changed out the rear hatch pull, and it seems to change the bulbs you almost have to remove that whole stupid pannel piece.

the pictures in the manual aren't really clear, but after looking at it again, it almost looks like you have to go through the inside by removing the tailgate molding. i say screw it, unless you're gonna get a ticket for a burned out bulb. or you live in state that has inspections.

Does anyone know if the third Brake light on an H3 is a LED type or an incandecent type?..I can't seem to ever catch it while it's on, it won't stay on long enough for me to get back there to see before it goes out...Kinda like the whole frig light thing

pull into the garage, stop when you hit the wall, put a brick or lean a paint can on the brake pedal, then run out and see. most likely incandescant, GM is cheap.

i have an 06 H2 and it came with rear tire carrier where the rear license plates mounts. i don't like the look of the tire in the back so i took the spare tire and carrier. i mounted my rear license plate in the center of the liftgate with 3M double sided tape. i do not have a light for the rear license plates. i only drive my H2 during the day and seldom at night. i am also thinking of mounting the rear license plates permanently by drilling 2 holes in the center black piece.
