The tech support seems good. I emailed them for a sound clip and I had a responce in 10 minutes saying they didn't have one.

Not to sound like an a-hole but how much tech support are you gonna need with a muffler? It looks kinda chincy to me and for a hardly nay more you could get a gibson which mnay here like and have had great sucess with. for like a little over a hundo more you can get a magnaflow which alot of people here have had great sucess with and like. I like to thnk you get what you pay for.
I have also found that allot stuff on e-bay that isn't name brand tends to be junk so........... cavet emptor ( spelling)

P.S. the fact that they claim you will get 30hp outta this muffler on an H3 should tell you some thing too. Kinda like like those 10$ mod chips on e-bay that claim they will gain you 2 mpg and 30hp

Only the muffler is stainless, the rest is normal steel. I wouldn't bother.
If it's sound you want, take your truck to a muffler shop and have them retrofit a Flowmaster in place of the factory muffler. It'll be cheaper and just as good as that eBay part.

Read the auction carefully!
It says "mandrel-bent aluminized seamless tubing".
Not stainless tubing for exhaust, only muffler and tip are stainless.
For another $100+ you can get a proven MagnaFlow all stainless system.

What I meant by good tech support is when I email the company CGS that makes the exhaust about info on there product they got back to me very quickly. Yes you could need tech support on a muffler say a part didn't fit or you damage part of it off-road. It is also just nice to know that when you contact a company they get back to you.
Since I'm new to this forum I'm just going to guess that when you mention a product off ebay you get slammed and talk down too. My bad. I also was thinking about getting my ecm reprogrammed from pcmforless and an air intake from Doc. Niether are name brand should I not get them. Not to sound like a @55 hole. I'm not made of money and like to do things myself and invent things myself so if I can buy a comprible product for less and help a smaller company out I will.

I had thought about doing this. I have always liked the flowmaster sound. Is there a big difference in performance between a full cat back and just adding the Flowmaster? I put a Banks cat back on my Titan and loved it.

Your exactly right about supporting small companies, but this Ebay thing to me does not look like a quality product, others have also given there opinion, by mentioning a product from ebay doesn't mean your going to get slammed, but you can't ask a question and expect to always hear what you want to, it's your decision to make.......

Thanks Blackbear your H3 sounds great. Where is the cheapest place to get it. I have not found it for under $500 shipped. Also did you look at the company who makes this exhaust website? They have a full stainless also I believe.
http://cgsexhaust.com/ I just hate to see a product trashed just because it is sold on ebay they don't seem be trying to hide anything.

500.00 is a good price!! keep in mind that it is all stainless steel, it is well built, they did complete tests on the H3

Yeah, basicly its your choice, but IMO i would save up a little more and purchase the magnaflow system. Looks better overall and you also have a sound clip for it as well. Some things are better to wait for.......this looks like one of those things for sure.
We aren't Ebay bashers, but ebay has gone downhill recently. You ahve to be careful of what you buy there and from whom you buy it as well.
Take your time, continue to do as much research on the 2 or 3 systems as need be. Price can play a big factor, but when you are given an honest opinion about 1 product vs another (especially from owners that have one or the other) consider their input as added value to your research.
BTW BB, that sounds great, and congrats on the ROTM for March as well.

I agree ebay sure isn't what it used to be. Can anyone point me to a list of sites for buying H3 stuff. I've searched around but not sure what site is the best.
Thanks for your input.

There is no reason to get a full catback Vs piecing together whatever you want.
The stock muffler and resonator are designed with NVH as the primary concern. Pick an aftermarket muffler based on the sound and the level of backpressure you are looking for. Keep, ditch, or replace the resonator based on how tolerant you are to engine drone on the highway.
Preemptive argument:
Remember we're talking about a heavy vehicle with a naturally aspirated motor here. It needs some backpressure. If you reduce the back pressure to much attempting to gain HP it comes at the cost of TQ. Keep everything in check.
There have been a number of threads lately concerning exhaust including aftermarket headers and gutting cats as well as catbacks. Everybody wants everything as free flowing as possible, but at what cost? If you want to mess with this stuff, only mess with the parts that were designed to favor NVH. These are the air intake, the resonator, and the muffler.
The
headers are well designed and a pain in the rear to change any benefits from aftermarket ones are arguable..... leave 'em alone.
Gutting the cats.... all in the name of Horse Power. Who gives a rats arss about torque, engine controls, or much less the environment. It's not like the whole system isn't designed around them for optimal performance. While you're at it, why not remove one of the wheels. That rotating mass is a HP drain.
OK... that last part was a bit random, at least for this thread, but true none the less.

Type the brand or brands of muffler you want into google then look at the differnt sites that sell them and go with the cheapest one that's always the best one to me.
