Ok so I'm the guy that just sits around in the back here reading what everyone else writes but now I got one. A question of my own that has not been asked before (i think) post #1 for the juiceman!!!! Here goes, I was returning home from a trip today when I started to hear a really annoying rubbing sound from the drivers side door/ dash area. I thought to myself, "self that could be the noise that was discussed in a post you saw earler and check the parking brake cable" well as I did that (stopped of course) I came across a group of wires just sitting there and I have no idea what they are for. These are the pics I took. There is a blue clip, a black clip and 4 random wires that look like they have been cut. So this is my question to all that know more than me.................what in the &^$@ do these go to??????? Thanks

Just under the dash. the wires that appear to have been cut are black, red, brown and green.

trailer towing package or not? If you don't have the towing package, maybe these are the wires for that. I don't know, just a guess.

Chill!

These are wiring harnesses that have the wiring for every possible concievable hook up in mind...They obviously didn't need this particular set of wires and just nipped them off, to get them out of the way...Mine has them too..All car manufactures have generic wiring harnesses for various applications with extra wires...

They are wired into the same wiring as the trailor light connection in the back. Dennis is right. You don't need them for anything.

^^He got it! Those are accessory wires to make it easier for you to hook up lights, etc. I recently used those for wiring up my PIAA lights on the brush guard. It certainly made wiring up the switch a heck of a lot easier than trying to route wires through the firewall or door jamb. :) It shocked the heck out of me that GM actually would do something like this!

Yes exactly. I used those wires to wire my roof lights. You'll find a same set of cut wires under your hood and behind the panel that houses your emergency brake lever.
