well, momma doesnt like the idea of trading it,she claims we really need the money from what i make to pay bills off,so that we can do more things later, soat this time, its not a good idea, maybe later things will be different

Hey Hilljob26, do you think you could fabricate something like this?

New, these lightbars cost over $400, which is rediculous considering how simple it looks. My off road lights are currently mounted on my roof rack, but I would like to bring them more to the front of the cab. Let me know if this is possible.

There's already a mount point for it. If you look at your roof rails towards the front you will see a Torx bolt recessed. As far as I can tell, that's the only mountpoint.

I've seen someone on another forum that has one of these....I don;t think he was
real happy with it. Seems like there was a vibration/wobble issue of some kind.
I'll see if I can find the thread later this evening......He said it mounted with the one bolt
and sticky tape (WTF...Sticky tape?????)

ya know, thats what i was thinking, there is too much weight for just one bolt on each side, you would have to have some kind of point in the front, and instead of drilling hole ,you would just have to have a support that would use double sided tape and thats only to keep down any vibration.just by the way it looks

Good point about the vibration. I'll bet the lights would really shake off road. I've currently got my off road lights mounted on my roof rack, but I was looking to relocate them in front of the sunroof and more towards the front of the cab.

in your case, yoiu could use the front of the rack as well as the bolt for mounting,so yours would work out ok

Mike,
You do some of the most awesome-ist work I've ever seen! I wonder what your guard would look like if you used some larger diameter tubing like in the post above this one? I know you don't have the time to mass produce your magnificent works of HUMMER add on art but consider this...There are so few producers of bolt on off-road HUMMER parts that you may want to reconsider.

guys, grill guards are fairly easy to build, its the bends right now that kick my azz,if i could sell a couple that look pretty good,i could get enough to get me a good bender and really start making some good stuff,so if you guys want something, let me know,i will make it,i really enjoy building these guardsand for around 300 bucks, its not a bad deal,i mean really, its custom, this next one will have lights on it that go with it,so you just have to bolt it on and wire it up,i try to make them idiot proof, one of these days i will have to start a portfolio of hummer parts,im up to 5 now with the first guard, the intake, the shock extenders, the spare tire rack(which is freakin awesome if you ask me) and the new guard(its a surprise)
