Anybody know where to get the big whip CB antennas?  Big. Like...7'
Something that I could put an orange flag on for dune running?
Also something that is flexible to be pulled back to tie from the brush guard to the roof rack to tie off so its not too tall for normal driving.  Asthetically the idea is the HMMWV antenna style.

You can try any large truck stop on the interstate. They usually have a good selection of cb stuff. That's where I got my antenna and cables, etc.

Rather than a long metal whip..  Look for a 7ft FLEXABLE fiberglass antenna and use a quick disconnect..

I'd think a 102" whip with a flag on it would be bouncing around a LOT..  Even a good chance of it whipping back and popping the windshield..

Good thought on the metal.

Diamond Antenna makes a motorized NMO antenna mount that attaches to your roof rack.  Hit the switch and your antenna folds down  The model number is  K9000LRM and sell for $110.00.  Here is a link:http://www.universal-radio.com/CATALOG/hamantm/diamx.html

It's a 4' Wilson (fiberglass with an adjusting nut on the top). I mounted the stud on the corner of the rear bumper and used a quick disconnect. Works like a charm!
