My H3 (non adventure) currently have BF goodrich TA KO all terrain tires size 315/75/16.  They look really nice and aggressive but I was wondering if they will hold up in the snow.  I am planning to go snowboarding in Big Bear, Ca.

Are all terrain tires considered as snow tires?  or snow tires are completely different?  Thanks for your help.  I called BF goodrich customer service but they put on hold for 25 mins.  I hung up.

BFg's are very good tire, there tread pattern has been around for awhile. Remember AT's are designed to cope with various terrains. Check this out so can sleep better at night.

BFG's are not bad on the snow... Personally I feel the larger the lugs the more stuff you can move...

Big Bear does get ugly at times though.  When I was stationed in SoCal they wouldn't let us up there with a 4x4 with 40's...
