I'm buying the ones HummerMike has. I don't know the specific model or type, but I know they are MT and they are the perfect size. He did a good job picking out his tires.

new bfg's look ok but they're still the same crap as the old from what I've heard. JP mag reported that the new bfg mt's are actually the same as the mt's bfg made for the new jeep wrangler rubicons....if that's true...I'll pass...they suck azz!!! now if you're talkin the bfg crawlers....they look to be an awesome tire.
I got the KM2s and they rock!! Out of all my sets these are the best IMHO.
In mud, rock and street by far the best tire I've ever owned.
cool, they basically took the bfg Crawler and made it into a new MT....The crawlers are an awesome tire..if these perform as well I'd be interested to try them...but I can guarentee they will be louder than the mtz's.

I've got the Super Swamper Trxus MT 34"x12.5" These are HUGE tires and they are absolutely quiet on the highway, frankly they're just as quiet as my street tires.
I've run them in a little mud and it throws clods of mud about 50 feet in the air, excellent bite on rock and trails and I've been told these tires are the ultimate tire for snow and ice although I've not had the pleasure.
Too bad I don't have it with me this week. I'm up in Minneapolis this week and it's frikkin' COOOOOLLLLDDDDD. -16 right now with a wind chill of -37.
I've noticed when we talk about tires on this forum most either talk about 33's or 35's.. apparently many forget there are 34" tires out there.

Good timing for this thread. I'm getting ready to by some new tires and this is helping me see what the tires look like on the H3. I'm leaning towards the Cooper Discoverer STT's right now. Anybody have any experience with these? The biggest question is what size to get...33" or 35"!!!

IMO getting a 33 is a waste...you can clear 35's with zero rubbing, you gain ground clearance ad look 10x's better than 33's...only downside is you'll lose 2mpg or so...no big deal. Coopers are a good tire too, a guy in my bass club has them on his suburban and they are mean looking. I think they are slightly louder than the mtz's or the parnelli dirt gripz though.

Glad you like hammer. The price may surprise you, the rims were about $130 each (Pro Comp Alloys 16x10), the tires were around $180 each. Plus the custom ProComp lugnut set was another $50 so I think I came in around $1,400 delivered. The came mounted and balanced, I swapped the wheels myself.
The rims can have the optional beadlock rings for about $60 per tire. They come in chrome, black, red, etc.... I thought I wanted the beadlock rings but decided against it. Gunner45 has the chrome rings on his rig and the same tires. I think he went with 33's. My wheels are 34" with no lift.

what do the bead lock rings do.....
TheGunnyRet

Bead Locks secure the tire to the Rim so the beads don't break free with low tire pressure.
If you want high mileage tires you would should go with a P-Metric they will have a UTQG rating (UTQG rating is the hardness of the rubber, the higher the # the longer they last i.e. 500). Down side is the side walls are usually thinner, Offroad tires tend to have thicker sidewalls for less flex and don't have UTQG rating.

BFG 35's on stock wheels have performed nicely in mud, ice, virtually no road noise. I did have to trim the inside of the fender flares when I moved and loaded her with a full tank and 1700lbs though.

Just to let you guys know tirepackage.com and 4wheelparts are affiliated some how and I just phoned 4wheelparts to buy my wheels and tires after seeing Hummer drivers wheels/tires and talking with him over PM these guys are awsome to deal with. I decided to go with the 1089 wheel 16x10 and the same super swamper tires as Hummer drivers pic. Unfortuantly they couldn't get me the 1089 wheel for my H3 so the guy worked with me to get me hooked up we wound up going with the 1089 wheel but in 17x9 and the super swampers. He asked me what I was looking to spend when I was disapointed with not being able to get the 1089's in a 16x10 and I told him I really wanted to keep the price of my package under 1500$ because poker stars is paying for them (thats another story) he threw in free chrome lugs, valve stems, mounting balancing and shipped them to my front door for 1500$ even. When doing this price online it would have been just under 1700$. I recamend you guys give them a call before placing your order online to see if they will cut you a better deal. I will be sure to post pics when they arrive.
