Has anyone been to the Detroit Auto Show, and if so, where is the safest place to park my Hummer?  At the auto show itself, or offsite?  A couple of places which lists shuttle service includes the Henry Ford Museum and the Detroit Zoo.  Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

I would suggest parking at the zoo and taking the shuttle. I had 6 free tickets and I gave them away to the first customers that entered my store. I cant go to the auto show it is way too crazy. If i wanted to really go I would have gone on friday to the black tie party. ( How could I do that you ask? Well my dad works for GM and has the inside )

I ususally park on the third level of the Millender Center near the door at the S/W corner which is the entrance to the people mover platform.  Take the people mover to and from Cobo.  I think it is $10.00 for 1/2 day pkg.  People mover is $.50 each way, and it's a cool ride.  Works most excellent for hockey games.  When yo pull out of the Millender Center you are many blocks removed from Cobo and the Joe, so you go E on Jefferson and in just a few blocks you are on I375/75 out of town.

My Hummer has been parked all over downtown Detroit, not a scratch, nobody has ever messed with it.

Thanks for the info on the parking!  I will keep it in my pocket for future use.
