I've been using Norton for well over 7 years now.

My experience with people that don't like it is because they had ****ty computers.

I've never had a Virus even with my browsing habits...

I'll admit that the old norton system works did slow down your computer, but the 07 and up norton seem to work fine.

Never had a problem yet with 07 norton and vista.

I use a mac these days. But when I used a windows machine, Trend Micro was the best. I had Norton installed and ran a scan. Then I installed Trend Micro and ran a scan. TM found over 30 threats that Norton has missed.

Seriously, check the reviews on Cnet for the pudding.  I use Avast or AVG.  Both are free and highly rated.  Havent seen a virus in years, even when i visit *cough* certain sites.

You'll thank me.

AVG free.  Kicks butt and costs $0.00.  Free download.  All my computers use it, never got a bug.  Wife has the Mac for graphics, no bugs with macs, but it is a little wierd if you're not used to it.  Search AVG free..........or Grisoft.  If you are paying for anti virus, your are silly.
