jdrew has been stalking me about going to the Badlands (just kidding buddy
) so I figured I would see if anybody in the Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana and/or Ohio (hint hint Nick!) area would like to plan a little outting there. I know our hummer club might be planning something there too, but I am itching to go off-roading and having this thing 16 months and never going, it's just a sad waste (sorry Bob and Dennis) of good steel.
So, myself and HummerMike keep talking about it but now that he has his new job, I'm not sure exactly when we would go, and since it's been so cold, it's probably a good idea to wait a few weeks to see if it warms up a bit.
Anybody interested?

don't forget Devil's Tower and Sturgis while you're there. Mt. Rushmore is a bit of a letdown in person IMO. Custer state Park is pretty cool though, we even found some unpaved roads to travel, that's the only place we saw any of the Bison herds.

I've been to Sturgis a few times during the Harley Rallies!!! AWESOME!!! But me and the boys were there to PARTY, never did any sites!!

you'd be fine on the dirt roads. they were just dirt, nice and smooth. lots of buffalo land mines though, you may not wanna run through those . . . .

Bob. I'm there buddy! Let me know when you are going. I WAS talking about Indiana, BUT we went there with our Scion xB as part of our road trip a year ago. We drove to rushmore, through Sturgis, and of course, the infamous WALL DRUG! lol. You'll see like 2377455 signs for it on the way there. It's a cool area. Just wait until you have to drive 5000 feet up to Rushmore. THAT'S interesting lol. It's like driving a highway into the clouds.
We would love to take another road trip there. Are you guys driving (look at me inviting myself lol)
Sorry, we are big road trip people. It would be cool for us to go check out some off-roading stuff, maybe see if we could get a few more people to meet up.

I'm not sure. I'll look it up. HummerMike has been there twice I think. Our club is planning an official outting there I believe. I'll let you know. It would definintely be cool to have you guy scome when the club goes. We would have a whole caravan of people.

Hey Mike .. depending on date and how much of a heads up I get count me in for it ... need I guess at least 2 weeks or so since you guys meet so fricken early in the AM's .. will need to roll up the evening before so need vacation time put in for it.

OK. Mike and I have a bit of personal stuff going on the next couple of weekends but my best estimate is that it would be some time in March at the earliest.

March is fine.. i think I'm gonna do the Lynch Hummer drivinf acadamy thing this month to gain some knowledge and stuff.. March will be good.. Although, playing in some of the snow that's on the ground now would be fun too! :)
