Has anyone seen the rearview camera option on the 07' Glaicer Blue models?
Checked one out today, When put in reverse a 2" approx, screen slides out to the right from the rearview mirror, very cool. I'm having the dealer check into getting it. But it might be cheaper to just do a convertor and have the camera display in the nav screen?

I've read about it, but haven't seen it 'in action' myself. I might check-out the retrofit possibilities sometime this week as well.

That's the one. I think I will just use the nav screen and call it a day. Going tomorrow to finalize the deal.

Yep, our H2 has been at the dealer having the nav screen/back-up camera unit installed as of yesterday, and it should be ready sometime tomorrow. Although the placement of the '07 back-up camera screen is a good idea, the size of that screen is just too small for my liking, so I opted for the nav screen conversion unit instead. My wife thought the back-up camera was a real good idea, since she's had a hard time backing up the H2 in small parking lots with more confined spaces. Since we'll periodically be pulling one of our trailers, instead of a receiver camera, I had them install the camera into the spare tire carrier unit just below the license plate. Although I still haven't taken any photos of our H2 yet, I still promise to do so (now with this new addition) if I feel well enough tomorrow.

If I may ask, what did you pay for the camera?

Well, I still don't have my H2 back yet. It appears that they had ordered the incorrect back-up camera to nav unit adapter, but I was advised that the correct one should arrive at the dealership sometime this morning.

Just picked up my H2 Saturday after trading in the Tahoe and can't see anything when backing up so immediately began looking for some back up camera info and saw your post.  I was wondering if you could give me any more info on what products you went with and if you have any additional pics of the camera's view?  Do you think it may have been better mounted up highter?  Just wondering before I spend a bunch of money seeing as I am still trying to get used to the immense amount of gas this thing eats at 90 mph.

Thanks for your help as I am a HUGE Newbie.

The system was installed by my local Hummer dealer, but I don't have additional information on its manufacturer, model number, etc. I also don't have any more of the nav screen photos; i.e., like in a parking lot or something, but the color camera worked great when backing-up in the post office parking lot this afternoon...I was able to see foot and vehicular traffic very clearly. There are some cameras which replace one of the rear rooftop clearance lights, but I wanted my camera low enough where it would also be more beneficial to me when backing-up and hooking-up to my trailer, yet not too low where it would become an encumbrance. Also, IMO, if the camera was any higher, then I believe that the rear mounted spare might possibly block some of the view, since the spare does not ride-up close against the rear gate.
BTW, the color camera also works great at night, as evidently the H2's back-up lights provide adequate illumination allowing the color camera to see clearly at nighttime.
