Avatar Help

I uploaded some pictures to photobucket and reduced a picture of my truck to avatar size.  How can I get that reduced size pic from photobucket to show here as my avatar.  I have tried to reduce the pic as it is also saved as a file on my computer, but I either do not have any software to reduce it properly or I have no idea how to do it. 
 
On other forums I have just copied the IMG link just like a sig or picture in a post and it worked.

ok.... the problem is not the size (145x145) the issue is the file size.... 47kb... max 25kb allowed.

Can you give me a larger version so I can resize it and still keep it physically larger.

How would I do this.  The file is too large for me to upload from my computer.  Could I get it too you from photobucket or would it have to be done via email?

you can give me the photobucket link.... or email it to me... either is fine... I am just going to save it to my computer and then use a jpeg compressor....

if you google jpeg comperssor you could even do it yourself.
