I want to add and Aux input to my wife's H3 factory radio. She has just the basic system. I was looking on the crutchfield site and saw one for 2000 and up GM but they say I have to have an "Aux" or "CD" button. I have neither on the radio but to have the "i" , "Disp" , and "Info" buttons that do nothing for me right now.
would I be able to connect this unit and have it work or should I be looking at something else. Any help would be great. Here is the link to what I am looking at :

I just removed mine when I installed an after-market radio. It is looking for a home. $75 and it is yours.
Details can be found in this thread:

What button on the radio did you use to activate the unit?

It was the band button. The unit replaces an XM input. With an iPod attached, it displays IPOD on the display instead of XM1 or XM2.

This is the one I used for my 2008. I have the CD and XM but you can use it without I believe. I just use the band button.. is all.

Yearmax,
The USA Spec's the unit I have. It works good.. use the band button. No wires to cut if you don't have xm, just plug existing plugs into sockets provided. If you have xm, its 1 wire to cut... I have the xm trial, but I decided not to cut the wire, so I just unplugged the xm unit...
you get 2 aux inputs... unit sounds good too...
