Just curious if folks swapped out their center wheel caps on their trucks from the originals with the black logo line?
My truck came with the color matched logo line in the dull matte finish. I found though that the matte finish was too dull for my liking when viewed on the side with my Chromed Hummer Logo Fuel Door.
Recently I saw at the dealer that the '07 has a bright finish wheel and center cap.
I tried one of these caps on my matte finish wheels and liked the contrast it showed. It compares to the H3 logo on the two front doors and rear gate. It also appeared to have a tighter fit.
I will get a shot off to post shortly.

I think Dennis has the chrome center caps on his aluminum wheels.

Along these same lines (well kinda lol), my question would be how does one get the Hummer logo section black? I have noticed that on a couple H3's here...I'd like to do that since I am staying with the blacked look.

Ya know Dennis, that looks better than I thought it would. And if I remember correctly, the chrome caps aren't that expensive. I might have to consider that.

Watch ebay..they have them all the time..Look carefully at them..because they have the chrome ones without the HUMMER word on them too.
Sarah I have the silver ones (stock) like that..but I've never seen chrome ones with the Black tongue.
I would paint them myself if that was what I was looking for.

Well with Dennis' pic, you know what they look like. I think they really enhance the wheel.

You're talking about the non chrome wheels covers that come on the aluminum wheels right? The ones with the black "tongue" as Dennis called it. I believe those were on the earlier H3's and then they switched to the matching tongue later on. I'm sure you could probably post up to trade yours for someone elses in the wanted section. I know I've seen folks who have the black that want the all silver.

Lawyfe: FYI, I picked up a set on eBay for a good price, and kept my original caps in case the mood struck me to switch back. I don't know what you are looking to spend, but here is a set of 5 currently available on eBay:

I took mine and painted them all black then took a grey sharpie and made the Hummer letters dark gray

I have the silver center caps with the black tounge, I noticed that the whole piece of plastic is, actually black plastic, then they paint the surrounding area silver.
I would love to get the all black plastic ones (pre-silver paint) straight from the factory. I like the (sheen) or finish of the black tounge area.
I had a set of stock 16's powdercoated matte black and the sheen is almost exact to the black tounge on my center caps.
