Hey boys... I've read through the forum and it seems that between all of you regulars, ur a bonafide car & truck encyclopeadia!!
I am a horseshoer who pulls a trailer and i'm looking for a new tow vehicle. Now i know that the H3 isn't rock n roll at pulling, but it just screams "I'm da man!" that i can overlook a few things. The only problem is that my trailer pushes the 4500 lbs limit (i obviously couldn't trust an automatic). Anybody have any experience with towing? Does the wimpy engine guzzle gas when pulling? I've heard rumors that the 2007 will have the option of a bigger engine, can anyone verify that? And one last thing (i feel like a pest). Would adding an extra leaf spring make the suspension stronger for tongue weight?
Thanks a million guys!

I've heard from an Inside GM source that they will be 3.7L I5...About 25 more HP...The same inside source also has assured that the new and improved Roof rails will be out sometime in May...None of the dealers know this yet...I'll be a monkey's uncle if I'm wrong..
GM is working overtime to preserve the Highly prized image of the entire HUMMER line...Especially the new baby.

Read this from a H3 web review: "the six would have required another four inches or so ahead of the firewall"; more likely to see a super charger or turbo charger to get more power.

They should have put the I5 out of the Trailblazer in.....275hp.

I have a 2002 Trailblazer. Great engine, needs a better transmission, but it is an inline 6. Actually, the power in the current engine isn't too bad, once you get some miles on it. No Ferrari, but it does work.

Its funny but even with all the comments about a lack of horsepower on the H3 (and these comments almost made me decide to hold off on my H3), I find it to have plenty of power. I have no problem getting thru traffic even in crazy Miami. Acceleration seems fine to me. Am glad I did not wait as I am perfectly happy with what is under the hood.

the I5 has really grown on me and I think it suits the H3 very well. In fact, I'd even take an I5 with 6 or 7-speed auto over a V8 if it's offered next time around.
