I jsut filled the tank on my H3 ALPHA for the 25th time & finally sat down & averaged it out.
Average was 15.89 mpg with around 65% City, 30% highway & 5% off-road driving.
I have only used mid-grade octane gasoline..., although I would think mpg would improve a bit with Hi-grade.
16.17 was the highest...., with 13.11 being the lowest mpg over 25 tank fulls.
My previous SUV was a 2005 Yukon AWD 5.3L
Over 3 years the Yukon averaged 15.1 mpg
The ALPHA may only get about 6% better mileage than the Yukon......., but the ALPHA is 100% more fun!!!!

Are you running stock tires and wheels? Rood Rack?
Just curious.

Yep.., I''''m running the stock wheels & Bridgestone LT285/75R16 Dueler A/T''''s that came with the Off-Road Suspention Package. And yes, roof racks too.
veves: It gets plenty off "Dirty" work..., just not many "Dirty" miles because the terrain I''''''''''''''''ve been on is pretty much the slow crawling kinda stuff. I guess I should edit my original post to include about 5% Off-Road miles. I should be racking up some "Dirty" miles pretty soon though...., I just found an area to blast around in the sand dunes. There are places you can gett''''''''''''''''er up to 70 or so on the straights & she flys really good too!! Yeeeee-Hawwwww!!
I''''ve been really impressed at the Alpha''''s agility at hi-speeds in the sand..., sticks in the corners like she''''s on rails!!
