being a military vehicle i am having trouble finding information about a replacement heater core or what the job constist of. any help would be apprietiated

I can tell you this, don't breath any of the paint chips if you have to drill any rivits. If it still has CARC (Chemical Agent Reactive Coating) on it, that is some nasty stuff.

i ve done one of these a few years ago and we repaired the heater core but by the time vehicle left the shop we had to replace the complete heater box assy. with the core. i spoke to few people and i was told that complete box replacement was required in certain years. repaired heater core worked fine but we replaced the entire unit just to play it sfe.

It has step-by-step procedures on heater core installation...I referred to this, although not entirely, when I replaced my Mercedes heater core. It might help. Goodluck!
