Looking to make a purchase this Friday on a '08 Alpha H3. At my request, the dealer is "swapping out" the stock 32" tires/rims, for a set of stock 33" tires/rims off of an ADVENTURE PKG equipped '08. My question is: won't this affect the speedo calibration and the accuracy of the odometer ? My salesman (sales manager) says "NO". Would like some input before I purchase.
Thank you for your time.

Not much. Do the mathmatical calculation and you will find that when your speedo shows 70mph, your actual speed will be appx 72. Not a significant problem IMO?
The math:
Actual Speed = new tire diameter x indicated speed
Old tire diameter
72.1875mph = 33" x 70mph
32"

or you can do the PCM mod, right?

I do not think anybody is doing the PCM for tha Alpha H3, yet? Patches had a thread about that, but the PCM could be changed to reflect your tire diameter change. So technically MuddyD, the answer is Yes.....

When available or if you HP tune yourself.
