Im looking to purchase a 08 H3 Alpha-X, but i dont know if the quote that my local dealership gave me was any good, I was wondering if anyone else recently purchased one and at what price?
My quote was 47,890 without tax and tags and the $3,000 discount they gave me. So $44,890 without tax and tags. Is $3000 a good discount? It includes the GM $1000. Please help if you can.

I agree.  Sounds like a good price bit that also depends on what it is equiped with at that price.  What options and/or dealer installed equipment does it have?

At KBB (kelley Blue book) .com, the average price being paid for a H3 Alpha is approximately $38,000.00.

Kelly Blue Book was right on the money when I bought mine.  The dealer gave me his invoice and the prices were right there with the KBB ones.  What KBB does NOT tell you though is the dealer adds a marketing fee and dealer hold back.  Fortuneately KBB explains this in their tutorial about how to buy a used car.

Average price being paid is relative.  Relative to the area and relative to how the truck is equiped so taking all of that into account it is probably not very relavant or in fact irrelative.  The basic fact is that the dealer will never give up his hold back or marketing fee unless the manufacturing is providing some $'s or reason to do so.  The approximate difference between a base Alpha dealer cost and invoice (about $38,725) is only about $3,100 so on a base vehicle you will probably be pretty lucky to get it for 5% less than sticker not counting mfg incentives.  For a loaded Alpha retailing for about $49,100 you will probably be able to get the 5% because the dealer will probably have about $4,500 between invoice and sticker.

That's a pretty rare truck, too...Sounds like a fair deal.
